The OPC Server for ABB Advant is an OPC compliant server that enables data interchange between Wonderware software (and other OPC clients) and ABB Advant DCS systems. The server provides read and write access to Advant objects using the ABB Information Management System (IMS). Included with the OPC server is a dedicated data server that resides on the IMS station. This data server communicates via TCP/IP to the OPC server to enable cross-platform functionality. The OPC server is self-optimizing to provide easy, efficient, and reliable data transfer.
